Established in 1999, Nuts ‘n’ Spices has 34 outlets across Chennai, Coimbatore & Pondicherry. With a loyal customer base, Nuts ‘n’ Spices is known for its exceptional and premium range of almonds, cashew nuts, pistachios, figs, dry and wet dates, walnuts, and classical Indian spices apart from the international ones.
Diwali, a grand festive season in India, is also a gifting opportunity for individuals as well as corporate. Usually, Nuts ‘n’ Spices fill their racks with a wide range of gift packs during Diwali season which often sells like hotcakes. However, due to the pandemic situation, Diwali 2020 lacked the energy and enthusiasm as customers feared stepping into physical stores.
While stores continued to serve their customers, the client wanted to open the option for online ordering & door delivery with safety protocols in mind. The client also wanted this information to reach their customers well ahead of Diwali.
Pixel Studios, being the Digital Partner of Nuts ‘n’ Spices, understood that a multi-pronged action is required to approach the problem. The following actions were taken by the team.
Google My Business – Some of the stores either had outdated information on GMB or the new stores were not visible in the searches. The SEO Team at Pixel Studios, sprung into a series of eCommerce SEO actions to get the stores listed on GMB. The store pictures were updated and new gift packs were added, which led to the increased visibility of the stores on the local searches.
Gift Products on Website – Getting the relevant information from the client, Pixel Studios’ Web Team, updated the products with images, description, prices & delivery details. The option to place the order and pay online was embedded in the website. The team also ensured that the web server will handle any additional traffic anticipated during Diwali.
Social Media Promotion – The creative showed the gift packs of Diwali season with a festive look & feel. The call to action was clear to drive traffic to the website.
The Different creatives were posted on Facebook & Instagram. The target group was location & user behavior-based, which were extensively analyzed to drive the right amount of traffic to the website & also to the stores. The campaign was run for 30 days with various posts being promoted under close monitoring to ensure the right visibility & click-through rates.
With the multi-pronged approach, we pulled off a triumphant Diwali season for our client Nuts ‘n’ Spices, achieving the following metrics.
1. The organic traffic improved by 94.11 % compared to last Diwali season
2. The engagement levels in social media saw a sharp rise. The social traffic to the site went up by 13 times
3.The online sales witnessed a great jump of 4x times from eCommerce SEO services
