The Client
Amar Green Energy was founded to address the specific needs of the wind turbine aftermarket. Their goal is to innovate products and services that improve the functionality, reliability, and maintainability of wind turbines. These products are designed with care in order to ensure that they operate at optimal efficiency for a green tomorrow. They aim to empower the renewable energy sector with advanced equipment, precision-engineered components, and globally competitive services to meet worldwide demands. Considering the demand for renewables is accelerating, the competition is fierce, and it was harder to stand apart from brands that already had the advantage of time.
The Challenges
Amar Green Energy was going up against giants in the energy sector. It meant that we would have to bring our A-game to the engagement. Before starting any engagement, our team researches the industry, competitors, trends, and forecasts. It helps us get a bird’s eye view of the landscape and how we can make a difference to our clients.
While this was simple in theory, it meant going through a vast amount of material to understand the nuances of the energy sector and wind generation in particular. We had to study the existing wind turbine niche and how we could effectively leverage the Amar Green Energy brand to compete in the market.
The Process
The renewables industry was one of the fastest-growing niches today. Our team had to focus on marketing collateral that we knew would make a significant difference in the market vis-a-vis the competition.
Although they had an existing website framework we could build on, their digital presence to speak of, so we would have to focus on creating visibility in this space. Our goal was to empower their digital strategy with optimization techniques tailored to this particular client which would give them a significant boost against their competition.
Here are some of the aspects we were able to affect changes to –
- The first thing we do with our clients is to have a comprehensive discovery meeting before the process. Considering the niche and client positioning, the discovery phase was critical here. We create a platform for exchanging ideas and information between the teams. It creates a much more cohesive environment and a strong foundation of understanding before the start of the engagement.
- The next step was to revamp their current website. Our experience has taught us that, regardless of the client niche, the chances of failure are considerably higher if a website is not aligned with the brand and its customers. Our team worked to redesign the entire web experience from scratch. We used more intuitive navigational elements to bring it in line with modern web design standards.
- The client stated that the categorization had been outdated and needed to be reworked. From a customer's perspective, clarity is critical when browsing through products online. We restructured the entire website and provided an intuitive breadcrumb trail for improved navigation across the website.
- The client brought to our attention that the original website design did not accurately reflect their services and products. They wanted to leverage their technical expertise in the wind turbine and wind energy sector. Our team ensured that product categories and related content were highlighted on the homepage. We also redesigned the product listing page and added filters to help users find the right product. This considerably improved UI/UX scores and made searches more productive and straightforward.
- The client indicated a strong desire for a cutting-edge website design that would set them apart from industry rivals. They specifically asked for a distinctive above-the-fold design that would leave a lasting impact and set them apart from competing websites. And to achieve this request by the client, we implemented an ATF section with a video, which was a more compelling mechanic to drive engagement. Our team delivered on all expectations as set by the client.
The Experience
While this wasn’t our team’s first stint working in a hyper-competitive and technical niche, it was certainly an eye-opener in terms of learning and application. We worked in close quarters with the client throughout the engagement. We were able to overcome hurdles through knowledge, collaboration, and perseverance.
The most important takeaway from this engagement is not from a purely technical standpoint. We appreciate how much of a positive impact renewable energy is making globally. The fact that we were able to engage with one of the fastest-growing exponents of wind power, Amar Green Energy, was huge for our team, and it throws more light on the promising future of green energy!
